Welcome to Global Compassion Network

Updated need in Peru

Nelton Noriega, Bethany Baxter Noriega’s husband, in Iquitos, Peru,  just returned from a trip up the Maranon River to a village 200 miles upriver from Iquitos to visit a family friend. He has never seen flooding this bad. Whole villages are still under water. Most of these are villages are without electricity or plumbing. They do not have stores to buy food or water. If they do not raise, gather, hunt, or fish for it, they go hungry. There are well over 100 villages flooded. This is another appeal for donations to help get rice and a few staples from Iquitos to 17 or 18 of these villages. The ministry team cannot reach them all but they can get to at least some of them. Their rivers will be flooded for a couple of months. They will start planting their garden plots as soon as they can but their harvest date is measured in months, not days or weeks. Thank you for your help!

“The KIng will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it (feed, water, clothe) to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me’”. Matthew25:40

Global Compassion Network is a group of compassionate people committed to Disaster Relief both Internationally and Domestically. Internationally we have Nationals who are committed pastors and leaders in each poverty stricken country who have a passion to reach and care for their own disadvantaged people on a local level. The people they are reaching with aid include the poor, the orphaned, the widowed, the exploited and the displaced. We are committed to channel donations and volunteer labor to provide disaster relief, food, clothing, housing and education opportunities in a spirit of Christ-Centered love. Domestically, a couple with over 20 years of ministry and construction experience, leads groups of volunteers to help clean up homes and communities devastated by floods, tornado’s, and hurricanes, and offer hope to people whose lives are torn apart by the devastation.
